# Trading Fees on Everstrike: Fee Schedule and Rate Caps

> Everstrike charges 0.00% maker and taker fees on all products. Perpetual options fees are capped at 12.5% of the option's Mark Price.

Everstrike currently charges zero fees on every trade. Whether you trade perpetual options, perpetual futures, or spot pairs, both maker and taker fees are `0.00%`. This applies across all trading pairs and both DEX and CEX modes.

## Fee Schedule

| Product Type | Taker Fee | Maker Fee |
| ------------------- | --------- | --------- |
| Perpetual Options\* | 0.00%     | 0.00%     |
| Perpetual Futures   | 0.00%     | 0.00%     |
| Spot                | 0.00%     | 0.00%     |

## Maker and Taker Fees

Understanding the distinction between maker and taker orders helps you anticipate how fees apply as the fee structure evolves:

* A **maker** order adds liquidity to the order book. It rests at a specified price and waits to be matched by another trader.
* A **taker** order matches available liquidity immediately. It executes against an existing order already sitting in the book.

## Perpetual Options Fee Cap

Perpetual options trading fees are charged as a percentage of the underlier — the option contract's underlying asset. Regardless of the fee rate applied, the fee can never exceed `12.5%` of the option's [Mark Price](/trading/mark-price).

<Note>
  The 12.5% cap protects options traders from disproportionately large fees on deep in-the-money contracts or in low-liquidity conditions where the Mark Price is small relative to the underlier's value.
